At least seven people were killed after the small plane carrying the crashed shortly after takeoff in the city of Manaus, in northwest Brazil, reported an official source.
The plane, belonging to the company Amazonaves air taxi services, fell before reaching cruising altitude in the Eduardo Gomes International Airport in the capital of Amazonas state, according to a source of the Brazilian Airport Infrastructure Company (Infraero ) quoted by the Agencia Brasil.
The causes of the accident, which left no survivors, have not yet been clarified, but Infraero said that weather conditions were good when the accident occurred.
The plane, a twin-engine Seneca, model PA 34, was heading to the city of Santarém, in the neighboring state of Pará.
