The fault I have, and you too. Separate Lives
With the risk of being repetitive, because I think there have been several letters of this type today, I will discuss the results of the election of 10 April.
There have been comments of all calibers, racist, racy, anger, indignation, and many caused by a monumental blindness and not wanting to realize what is the reality in which we live. I have taken with resignation, with regret and certainly a large enough share of repentance. My vote was for PPK because I believe in the economic model and believe in your abilities as a potential ruler. Peru, of course, vote the other way.
is time that we were right to ask ourselves why? Before joining the reasons I want to mention something I am convinced that in this day of reflection. Those on the right did not lose this election yesterday, or last week, we have been losing more than 10 years. And explain why I think it was a long process lead us to be clear that the election is lost in yesterday CastaƱedas, Toledo and PPKausas.
There is no doubt that this path of privatization, free markets, low regulation and investment momentum has grown. The growth is evident not only in Lima (that's something we have highlighted many blind), simply walk through the north of the country in several provincial capitals and see many similarities to our capital market infrastructure and communications. This also makes it clear that today there are many most companies and there are more opportunities for that "middle class" to which many belong, there is more work, more people coming abroad to study, to consume more products, more amenities closer to "we." And these 15 years we have lived our lives comfortably, seeing as the thing progressed.
course, we perceive growth around us, therefore, to Peru you should be doing better. Unfortunately we are not all Peru. And the rest of Peru is not a bunch of cholos ignorant as many people have not hesitated to describe, no. The rest of Peru is composed of a large number of people with the same potential that we all but ignored lives. Ignored by the government? Probably not as much as many have noted between yesterday and today. There are social programs that reach many of them, but probably can do a better job. But no, that's not why we lost the election.
lost the election because neither you, nor I, nor any of us living comfortably this season was good work to raise my head and see a bit beyond what comes our social circle, we did not work think we could share our club with the neighbor, not in the sense fanaticon Christian nor Catholic, but in the sense of society. We had a hard time deciding to support a social cause? Going to school in a cone, young people, or one of the most motivated, to some distant province and ask, I can do for those who do not like me enjoy the benefits right? Do not think you get you some soles of his pocket and support a cause of social good have made a difference?
All this time has been much easier to think that the government takes over everything, but where in the world has seen the government to do everything? It is we who should feel duty to help in the parts where the government is not.
An example that perhaps this in what "we" can understand, the reconstruction of Ica. Been so long since the earthquake and there is so much still to do. A handful of "us" has put his shoulder on a roof for my country, has been sufficient? No! Government's fault? They have many other things to occupy. That would have been different if instead of dozens of boys we had thousands of people organized to help people in the south. But no, the easier it is to go south to a binge and forget that a few miles beyond people suffered a disaster and lost everything. Yes I'm guilty of that, and no fault or Toledo, or Castro, or PPK.
And I guess it's a matter of habit, we live in a society in which children leave the parental home and married many times, well past the 25, sometimes 30. And then we will not expect a protective mantle of the government take care of all the things that we do not want order?
Some may think that more young people doing social good is not going to make a difference, but I do believe in chains, perhaps our parents would be closer to reality if we take more interest all over Peru? Did not see some business opportunities, growth and greater well lead to other areas rather than concentrate on places they know?
In these last 6 years chooses to be an entrepreneur, I've been good or bad I never had a real decision to go to a national university and tell a teacher or principal who wanted to go and give a talk about what I was doing, and provide my staff to give workshops on programming or design or safety. I never thought to look practitioners in Lima province and bringing them all expenses paid to enjoy a little more of the benefits of the right and that the student can return to their home and share their experiences with others, instill a spirit of opportunity and growth their community, where "we" and not only in our "we."
It seems ironic that often heard in recent years that a worker or people who receive minimum wages always has to be beer. Us who were for much more than a beer, for much more than a weekend of partying to much more of a journey, often to go to Europe for a walk or weekend Cuzco, we could not have done much but for our Peru? For our compatriots. Simply because human beings live in abject poverty not far from us?
And if we did not want to strive for them, to give money or put effort into something, we could not have claimed for them? We should not have raised his voice for the people who live without clean water or no electricity? Without access to education or health plan? We should not have claimed for them if we knew that existed? But no, it is simpler to blame "the political class." Think it's the government that should take care of those things, because I have more important things. Yes, work is more important, educate and improve is more important, being with your family, improve your health is more important build your home and make a family is more important. But in 10 years, really did not have time to do more for others?
Obviously if I had much time to do more and I did, and obviously I have the guilt that Humala Keiko is 30% and 20% more, because I fail to bring the virtues of this model to others , and you (although not want to see the ignored and prefer calling them ignorant) too.
